How To: Capture Video Poster & Thumbnail Images

Steps

  1. Open the Media module.
  2. Click on a video title to open the video details page.
  3. Use the preview player at the top of the page to play the video. Pause the video when you get to the frame you want to use for the poster/thumbnail image.
  4. Click Capture.
  5. Select to use the image as the poster and/or thumbnail image.
  6. Click Save.

Note that it may take a minute for the processing to complete and for the images to appear in the Media module.
